EVENTS & EDUCATION
Split between various sites, including the Langar wildflower farm and here on Peacock Farm, our honey is taken from our hives all kept in the Vale of Belvoir.
Farming is not just our business. We want to produce food but do our best by the environment and preserve it for future generations. Education is such an important part of that.
We pride ourselves on inspiring the next generation to think more about their food and its origins.
In June 2022 we hosted our first Open Farm Sunday event, where we opened our gates for people to see the farm in person.
Open Farm Sunday is part of a national initiative, LEAF, which is encouraging the public to see how farms work. which saw over 600 people come to Peacock Farm.

We regularly visit schools and other groups in our area to give talks and demonstrations. We also thoroughly enjoy doing ‘Farmertime’ where school groups from cities speak to us over a call and the children get to ask questions and learn about farming.
It was a huge honour to win a Bees Needs away in 2022 for our commitment to bees and spreading awareness of how important they are.

We also invite people to see the farm in person. Young Farmers visit, while we recently hosted our First Open Sunday — part of a national initiative getting the public to see how farms work — which saw over 600 people come to Peacock Farm.
